Photograph of Exeter’s war memorial, built in 1923, which stands in proud and grateful memory of the men and women of Exeter and Devon who gave their lives in the Great War 1914 – 1919. The bronze statue is of peace standing on a dragon. On the four corners of the plinth are bronze seated figures of a soldier, a sailor, a nurse and a prisoner.
